Kinesiology Schools Australia provides Recognition of Current Competency
(previously known as Recognition of Prior Learning - RPL)
Applicants may receive RPL for parts of their Diploma in Kinesiology, as set out in the enrolment documentation. This must be applied for either at time of enrolment or interview, and must be prior to the start of the nominated program.
Applying for skill recognition
Therefore, if you are interested in applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), take a look at the course outline (also available with course booklet) and especially the non face-to-face (eg. home study, as below) units to get an overview of the competency criteria required for the course you are seeking an RPL. You will have an opportunity to complete relevant RPL application forms along with payment required, and gather your evidence. Our admin staff will contact you in order to discuss your enrolment and application. If you have any questions prior, please contact our office.

KC and ICPKP provide Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you have previously taken a PKP course (or have other prior qualifications) you may be able to cross-credit prior learning.
Applicants may receive RPL after providing completed assessment of previously relevant ICPKP work.
For those who have taken other Kinesiology but have not been assessed at this level, competency must be demonstrated.
However, we do have to ask everyone who wants the ICPKP International Kinesiology Diploma (and listing as an ICPKP Registered Kinesiologist) to complete the same Assessments as the new students.
It is not about us thinking you do not know the material. It is about you achieving Competency by showing you can do the Performance Criteria for each part of the course. This builds confidence and self esteem. The old system only had exams for teachers. The new system allows all of us to show we are Competent Kinesiologists.
I have training prior to starting Kinesiology
Where a Kinesiologist can produce a certificate of proficiency (or equivalent assessment) in any units, this unit may then be credited towards their Diploma. An example of this might be a Registered Nurse who has taken Anatomy and Physiology as a University course.
If you have completed any of the exact same units of competency according to the training package requirements, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer of the specific unit. Please discuss this with the college prior to enrolment.
Touch For Health Kinesiology Graduates may receive credits for prior studies in TFH. These may be taken into consideration and discussed with the applicant. The criteria is based on relevant equivalent studies and qualifications as well as proficiency (NB: TFH was designed for the layperson. PKP = Professional Kinesiology Practitioner).
All the above, however, is subject to personal interview with Senior International College Faculty. PKP provides a different perspective and greater depth, with assessments as to competency, providing a highly sought-after professional qualification
